What Are We Drinking Now? La Bambina Rosato from Menfi, Sicily

Barbara is loving this rosé from Menfi, Sicily. This is summer wine! Almost an orange tint; subtle strawberry and peaches; a great food wine. Thank you, Marilena! La Bambina, from winemaker Marilena Barbera, is a pleasant expression of the Nero d'Avola grape (ever heard of that one?), which is harvested at night to preserve the freshest aromas and to give birth to a very exciting wine that reflects the personality of Menfi's terroir. What Are We Drinking Now? Mythology Botanical Gin from Denver, CO (that’s pretty close by!)

Mythology makes this botanical gin, but the exquisite flavor is anything but mythological. Time to batch out a giant g&t and go look at some plants. For those unaware, our beloved Denver Botanic Gardens is back open, and this timely collaboration with Mythology uses ingredients grown inside the gates. This gin is fresh and zesty, with mild peppercorn and bright citrus. My next move is to see how it stands up in a martini, but i think it's a fair presumption that a beautiful thing awaits.
