What *Else* Are We Drinking Now? Daou Family Estates “Discovery” Chardonnay

Seth keeps going back for sip after sip of this California Chard. He’d like you to do the same.

Daou Family Estates “Discovery” Chardonnay – Paso Robles, California

The Daou is a really classy Paso Robles Chardonnay. There is some oak, but it is exceptionally well-integrated, adding an extra level of richness to the wine without overdoing it. It has a good amount of citrusy mouth-watering acid that perfectly compliments the tropical fruit and melon flavors. And no, it’s not sweet.

You can’t help but want to go back for sip after sip. I can just imagine how amazing this wine would be with some grilled or pan-seared scallops, or even some beautifully fried or sautéed mushrooms. Hell, just a glass or two on its own would be an amazing way to spend the evening.
