Not that you need a reason for Riesling, but if you are looking for a good winter white, you have to try a bottle of Dr Konstantin Frank. He was the first to bring the grape over to the Finger Lakes in New York, with vines dating back to the 1950s.

Aromatic and complex, there are notes of stone fruit, petrol, and wet rocks. Aged on the lees, this Riesling is soft and round on the palate, while finishing clean and dry with hints of salt and lemon verbena. Pair this with soft cheeses, spicy food, or sushi.
